nomadology

I think it was Braudel who coined the opposition between fast, dense time, and ‘longue durée’, or slow time. The latter could be used to describe the last few years of my life. Since we’ve learned, less than a month ago, that we’ve moving to Oxford, UK, time has condensed. I’m now typing in the midst of removal-boxes in a half-stripped study, as our removal is nearing rapidly, and my to-do list keeps growing…
